Our instructors are certified to teach by Tiger Rock Martial Arts International. They have obtained high levels of training in Martial Arts through the leaders in the industry. We ensure you will receive the best instruction available in a safe and professional environment.
Steve Snyder
Owner and oversees operations to all programs at the academy. Been training in martial arts for 35+ years and teaching professionally for 30+ years. He received his advanced education from UNC-G and a U.S. Navy Submarine Veteran. Steve Snyder is highly involved with the community through continual work with Special Olympics, Family Justice Center, Salvation Army, and Relay for Life to name a few. He is a Defensive Tactics Instructor for the High Point Police Department and regularly works with other local, state and federal agencies.
Mariea Snyder
Owner and manager to all junior programs, including After-School and Summer Camps. Been training in martial arts for 35+ years and teaching professionally for 30+ years. Mariea is the first female to receive 9th degree black belt in Tiger Rock Martial Arts and highest rank, 5th degree, under martial arts legend Joe Lewis. She is highly involved in the community working with Women's Shelter, Adopt-A-Highways and work within the local schools.
